Renowned Comedian Sardar Kamal Laid to Rest in Faisalabad
Lahore : Sardar Kamal, a beloved Pakistani comedian, was laid to rest in a local graveyard in Faisalabad on Thursday. The funeral prayers were held at Madni Masjid, Batala Colony, attended by friends, family, and colleagues from the entertainment industry.
Sardar Kamal passed away on Tuesday at the age of 52 due to a heart attack. He was a cardiac patient and was rushed to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology, but unfortunately, could not survive.
With a career spanning over three decades, Sardar Kamal starred in more than 30 films, several PTV dramas, and hundreds of stage plays, leaving an indelible mark on the entertainment industry. He was also a playwright and director, and his most popular stage show was “Janam Janam Ki Maili Chadar”.
Sardar Kamal was an integral part of the popular comedy program “Mazaq Raat” since 2023 and had recorded an episode just a day before his passing.
Tributes poured in from fans, celebrities, and colleagues, including the host of Mazaq Raat, Imran Ashraf, who expressed his heartfelt sorrow. Fellow comedians Iftikhar Thakur, Naseem Vicky, and Honey Albela also paid tribute to Sardar Kamal, remembering him as a mentor, teacher, and friend.
