Imam Masjid Al-Nabawi meets Chairman Senate; emphasizes joint efforts for regional peace
Islamabad:A Saudi delegation, led by Dr. Salah bin Mohammad Al-Budair, Imam of Masjid Al-Nabawi, met with Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani at the Parliament House in Islamabad on Thursday.
Chairman Gilani highlighted the long-standing cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the strong religious, cultural, and moral bonds between the two nations. He also underscored the significance of the Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madina as sacred sites for the Muslim Ummah.
Welcoming Imam Al-Budair to Pakistan, Chairman Gilani praised the strong and brotherly relations between the two countries, citing the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as a testament to Saudi Arabia’s friendship with Pakistan.
During the meeting, Chairman Gilani briefed the delegation on the regional situation, including the issues of Kashmir and Palestine, stressing the need for unity among Muslim nations to address shared challenges. He also emphasized the importance of joint efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region and worldwide.
